Books (soft-back)

Tubes (paper towels, tissue, mailing)
Paper recycling can go in desk-side recycling containers. OK to include staples, paper clips, tape and shredded paper.
No foil, plastic, or wax coated paper
No paper that has food residue
No paper towels or tissue
No hardback books
No photographs or label backing sheets
No plastic type (Tyvek) envelopes
No frozen food boxes

Metals and Plastics

Steel (tin) and aluminum cans
Rinse and flatten. Empty aerosol cans completely through normal use.

Plastic bottles and jugs
Rinse and flatten.

Do not crush or flatten aerosol cans.
No aluminum foil and trays.
No lids, tubs, cups, or bags.
No motor oil or pesticide bottles.

Glass Bottles and Jars

Rinse completely.
No light bulbs, window glass, vases, or drinking glasses. No lids.

Cardboard

Cardboard
Flatten and place in the cardboard container or flatten and place next to the recycling carts
No pieces larger than 36" by 36".

Plastic Film

YES, these items are accepted NO, items not accepted
Plastic film
Place in see-through plastic bag and place in container with cardboard.
No plastic tubs (yogurt and margarine) or food contaminants.
